Bjorn Olsson
Originally from Sweden, Bjorn Olsson is a trained opera singer whose passion for the performing arts led him across the Atlantic more than two decades ago. After settling in Tarrytown—the hometown of his wife—he became deeply rooted in the Hudson Valley arts community.
For over 20 years, Bjorn has served as Executive Director of The Tarrytown Music Hall, guiding its growth and evolution into a thriving nonprofit cultural hub. Under his leadership, the theater has expanded its programming, strengthened community engagement, and launched numerous initiatives supporting local artists and youth education.
With a background on both the creative and administrative sides of the stage, Bjorn brings a rare blend of artistic vision, strategic leadership, and heartfelt dedication to ensuring that live performance continues to inspire audiences for generations to come.
Amissa Rybak
Amissa comes to the nonprofit sector after a 15-year career in sales and marketing in the fashion industry. Following years of volunteer involvement with several local nonprofits, she was inspired to make a professional transition and dedicate her skills to mission-driven work. Now in her third year at The Tarrytown Music Hall, Amissa serves as the Director of Membership and Philanthropy.
The Tarrytown Music Hall, a beloved historic landmark and the oldest theater in Westchester County, is a nonprofit performing arts center committed to enriching the community through live performance, youth education at a pay-what-you-can policy, and historic preservation. In her role, Amissa leads initiatives that sustain this mission—overseeing membership growth, annual fundraising, and community engagement strategies.
Drawing on her background in strategic planning and client relations, Amissa focuses on building meaningful relationships that connect people to the arts. She has helped expand revenue streams through corporate sponsorships and partnerships, and works closely with the Executive Director on major gifts and the organization’s Capital Campaign to preserve and strengthen the Music Hall for generations to come.
Amissa is deeply passionate about advancing arts and culture throughout Westchester, ensuring that the Music Hall continues to thrive as both a cultural anchor and an inclusive community space. When Amissa is not working, she loves hiking with her husband, daughters and misbehaved dog, soaking up the abundance of arts and culture all around Westchester and NYC and is an involved member of Beth El Synagogue Center in New Rochelle.
