Ryan Ponsford

Co-Founder and Board Chair

A whiteboard-loving, dot-connecting, public speaking, principle-
driven professional, Ryan seeks to have a meaningful impact on
each of the individual lives and businesses he touches.

Years ago, while trying to solve the issue of wealth transition from
parents to kids, where kids squander the money and end up hating
each other, Ryan stumbled up philanthropy as the tool that could
save families from this unfortunate outcome.  Recognizing giving
not as a far-off destination reserved for rich folks, but rather a way
of life that isn’t about money, he began developing giving
experiences for kids, families, companies, and faith-based
organizations. After launching Main Street Philanthropy, a 501c3
public charity, Ryan and his team began developing giving
programs for families, companies, and organizations.  Today,
through Gateway for Good, the team is on a mission to reunite our
divided world through the power of purposeful giving.

Ryan lives in North San Diego and can be found coaching youth
sports teams, serves on multiple boards, plays music with several
groups, living the quote from his Grandfather Ralph, "you'll never
do it any younger."

Yale Levey

Co-Founder and President

Yale is the thought leader and innovator you want in the room
when you’re looking to design something new that aligns your
purpose to your passion and moves you towards impact and
significance.

While his professional background and experience originated in the
wealth management space, his journey into the world of
philanthropy and nonprofit advocacy began with the realization
that true wealth is so much bigger than just money. He made a
conscious decision to become an advisory in philanthropy instead
of just a financial advisor focusing on helping people unlock their
capacity for giving and service.

Ultimately, through a winding path that had him learning from
some of the best and brightest philanthropic minds, he grew into
the entrepreneurial teacher he is today.
As the “first follower”, co-creator and ambassador of Main Street
Philanthropy programming, Yale has introduced its incredibly
experiential and fresh approach to youth and adult alike all around
the country.

With both of his kids having graduated college, and as an empty
nester, Yale splits his time between New Jersey and Vermont and
can often be found in coffee shops along the east coast singing
and playing guitar, hiking the green mountains of Vermont, or
when it’s cold outside, on the ski slopes

GATEWAY FOR GOOD YOUTH THINKTANK

One of our most important initiatives has been to assemble the
G4G Youth Think Tank. A group of 20 somethings that helps us see
through the lens of Gen Z, and ensures that we’re offering out the
most empowering messaging and toolkit for members of that
generation to really Make a Difference. Their support and
guidance has been invaluable and we will continue to lean on
them, seeking their wisdom as we expand our programming and
build out our community.

Gateway for Good Youth Think Tank members:

  • Gabe Levey – District Manager, ADP
  • Luke Fink – Design Engineer, Vanderweil Engineers
  • Charlie Wildstein – Mental Performance Coach
